Our Philosophy
While clear rivers, idyllic lakes and majestic streams are nothing special in Central Europe, many regions around the world suffer from water stress:
700 million people have no access to an acceptable water supply.
1.8 billion people obtain drinking water from a water resource that is contaminated with faeces.
More than 2 billion people have no regulated wastewater disposal.
10 % of the world’s population are consuming food that is grown with wastewater.
In 2000, the United Nations set the sustainable use of natural resources as a Millennium Development Goal. In order to fulfil this target in the future, innovative technologies for water treatment and wastewater purification will become increasingly essential. Water management to minimise water consumption and water losses is constantly gaining importance.
